Mt Jewett Sportsmen’s Club Offers FREE Youth Pheasant Hunt

The Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club is offering a FREE Youth Pheasant Hunt on Saturday, October 13, starting at 7:00 am for 20 pre-registered youth. All registered youth are to meet at the Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club first to divide up into groups. Hunters with dogs are encouraged to contact the Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club to help a youth harvest a pheasant, and to encourage a youth to enter the outdoor heritage hunting family.

Jewett Sportsmen’s Club at mjsportsmensclub@outlook.com; daviselectric@hughes.net; or dcarlson@portvilletruck.com; or by contacting an adult member of the Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club. Youth must pre-register for the hunt. The hunt will be limited to 20 youth.

The Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club raised 500 pheasants this year for this release for hunters. Youth must have a hunting license, hunter orange vest and hat, and the FREE pheasant stamp from the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

The Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club is a progressive sportsmen’s club that features clay target shooting, a rifle and pistol range, a Women’s Intro to Wingshooting Program, youth pheasant hunts, a Hunter Education program, Boy Scout events, THE Big Buck content, and sharing of conservation knowledge.
