Bradford Era — The write in campaign by former Mount Jewett police department chief Steve Hale was successful, ousting current borough council president Chuck Paar by a margin of two votes.

According to Dianne Gallegos, director of elections for the McKean County Department of Voter

Registration and Elections, Hale, the 2005 graduate of Bradford Area High School, defeated Paar with 79 votes to 77 for the ousted council president.  Read More
