Bradford Era — The Mount Jewett Swedish Festival Committee has announced this summer’s festival will have a touch of winter.

Committee secretary Leslie Davis said the theme for this year’s festival will be “A Small Town Swedish Christmas.” Davis said the inspiration for the theme came from a Swedish saint named St. Lucia. The saint’s feast day, Dec. 13, is traditionally celebrated in Sweden, including processions with young girls wearing crowns of lights, according to Davis.  Read More
