Bradford Era — While plans continue to be made, physical work is not expected anytime soon in the transformation of a former railroad bed into a trail in McKean County, an official said this week.
The Headwaters Trust, a DuBois-area-based agency, continues to aggressively work to acquire the line, which would include the Knox-Kane Rail Corridor from Mount Jewett to Kinzua Bridge State Park.
Acquisition of the property could be finalized by fall of 2016, according to Linda Devlin, executive director of the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau. Until that time, though, no physical work can be completed on the Rails-to-Trails project. Read More
