Bradford Era — The news that the “Mural Building” in Mount Jewett will be demolished this week is being met with a degree of sadness not only in the borough, but in leaving the entire local area picking up more than just pieces of a building.

Linda Devlin of the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau knew this day would come eventually. Devlin said the Bureau has known the building’s structural integrity was beginning to diminish for a while. She credited current building owner Thomas Davis for working with the Bureau to try to find a solution to help preserve the building.
