Bradford Era — The sale of the Mount Jewett borough water system may finally close at the end of the month.

At the monthly borough council meeting on Monday, borough solicitor Dan Hartle announced that he was working on finally closing the sale of Mount Jewett’s aging water system to Aqua America Inc. of Bryn Mawr.

Hartle said he was meeting “weekly, if not daily” with representatives from Aqua to iron out the remaining details. He said one more hurdle involving an easement with Collins Pine has yet to be overcome.   Read More
