Bradford Era — In August, winter is likely the last thing on the minds of most McKean County residents. However, the 46th annual Mount Jewett Swedish Festival is right around the corner with the theme “A Small Town Swedish Christmas.”
The festival — slated to run from Aug. 14-16 — will kick-off on Friday (Aug. 14) with the crowning of the Swedish Festival king and queen at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11 Main St. The prince and princess contest will be held from 7:30 to 8 p.m., along with the winners of the coloring contest, at the Center Street Stage, with Bubbles the Clown roaming the streets from 6 to 9 p.m. Read More
