Bradford Era — “Everyone should give the Mount Jewett Swedish Festival a big thank you this year for ending the drought.”

Festival committeeman Tom Geer joked about the rain at the closing ceremonies for the 2016 Mount Jewett Swedish Festival, but in spite of all the rain this weekend, this year’s festival was successful — or framgångsrik.

Geer again recognized the Swedish Festival committee, noting the absence of chairwoman Beth Carpenter. Carpenter’s mother passed away early Friday morning. Geer asked those in attendance to keep the Carpenter family in their prayers. Read more
