Bradford Era — Mount Jewett Borough Council on Monday announced it could be closer to finalizing the sale of the borough water facilities. Councilman and water department operator Brett Morgan said representatives from Bryn Mawr-based Aqua America Inc. were planning on visiting the borough Thursday to complete a survey of Collins Pine. Morgan said the company is hoping to close the sale later this month or early in March.
Council agreed in principle to sell the borough’s aging water facilities in July to Aqua America for $1.1 million. Council then approved the ordinance to sell the facilities in October. Read More
