Bradford Era — The long-awaited visitors center at Kinzua Bridge State Park near Mount Jewett will include several interactive exhibits, like an excursion train car theater and a spot where people can build viaduct replicas.
On Wednesday, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) unveiled plans during an open house held at the Mount Jewett firehall. Area residents also got to provide written comments on the plans.
Ground is expected to be broken on the multi-million dollar visitors center as early as July. The park office/visitors center, which is expected to be completed in 2015, will feature 2,800-square-feet of exhibit space in two exhibit halls and a lobby. Read More
