Bradford Era — A controversial trail project that spans from Mount Jewett to Kinzua Bridge State Park has taken another step forward after the McKean County Commissioners on Tuesday accepted $1 million in state funding.

But the move did not come without opposition, as Bill Belitskus of Lantz Corners pointed out that, along with the county passing a resolution to receive the state Department of Transportation Alternative Program funds to tackle the project, an informational summit should be held to garner input from landowners, municipal officials, elected leaders, commissioners and other stakeholders.
