Bradford Era — Dr. Karen Sees of the MJ2KB T(rails) Club addressed Mount Jewett Borough Council on Monday, and gave an update on the recent fundraiser and the coming IntelliConference with all the stakeholders of the trail.
Friday’s fundraiser, held in Kane in conjunction with the Kane Historic Preservation Society, was a huge success, according to club co-chairwoman Dr. Karen Sees. Sees reported one employee of the McKean County Courthouse who was in attendance at Friday’s event said, “I’m embarrassed to be a part of McKean County! How could they not support what you are doing?” and vowed to speak with Commissioner Al Pingie.
Sees also reported clearing up confusion with a local trail advocate, saying the group supports having a trail next to the rails which they are trying to save. The man was initially not supportive of what the club is attempting to do, Sees said, but understands now and is fully on board. Read more
