Bradford Era — Mount Jewett Borough Council met in a special session Sunday afternoon to decide how to invest the money received from the sale of the borough’s water system to Aqua America Inc. of Bryn Mawr, which was completed earlier this year.

Borough council president Chuck Paar said the borough still has $590,675.56 from the $1.1 million deal with Aqua, $20,775,08 left in the checking account of the former water department, and $17,128.52 in the capital improvement fund.  Read More
